SyncBack is a small but powerful program for backup, restoration and synchronization of files and folders. The files and folders backup output can be ZIP archived with different levels of compression and password protection and can be stored on the hard drive, CD/DVD, LAN drive or can be uploaded to a FTP server. The backup and restoration processes can be set to various levels of priority or can be run in the background. You have lots of options to choose from such as: selection of programs to be run before and after the operations performed by SynckBack, scheduling of tasks to be performed at certain hours or recursively, filtering of file/directory copy, compare options, etc. At program startup, you need to create a profile under which you can select several tasks. The program can be run in easy or expert mode, so it is very easy to use even for a beginner.

Pluses: It supports pause/resume during the backup process, you can perform a simulation of the process you would like to run in order to see the exact characteristics of the output. The program can send the operations' logs to a preset email address.

Drawbacks / flaws: You cannot back-up entire partitions.

In conclusion: Considering the fact that iti is freeware and the multitude of options and features of the program, besides being stable and easy to use, we may say that it is an extremely good program.
