Windows Server 2003...?

Home > Computers & Internet > Software > Windows Server 2003...?

I'm in the process of installing Windows Server 2003. I have an old XP machine, which works great, and I'd like to put 2003 on that machine. When I run the boot disk at startup, I get this message...

"You chose to install Windows on a partition that contains another operating system. Installing Windows on this partition might cause the other operating system to function improperly."

If I continue at this point, does this message mean it won't overwrite XP? Or should I wipe the hard drive completely, and do a full install on a blank drive?

Any other advice is welcome... Thanks.

Delete the XP partition, and create a new partition during the setup process. Usually the best idea when doing a clean install.
